The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a CIT Deputy. This position will be assigned to Augusta Health Emergency Department to assist with individuals experiencing mental health crisis.

Candidate must be 21 years of age, have a high school graduate or G.E.D., be able to pass entry level testing: a departmental physical which includes drug testing & physical fitness assessment and a background investigation. The preferred candidate will have basic law enforcement and/or jail DCJS certification and also CIT certification.

The position has a starting salary of $47,380 - $54,487 DOQ with fringe benefit package of VRS retirement and life insurance, health insurance, annual and sick leave.
