The Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center has provided local animal control services since September 2011 for Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro

SVASC takes in all stray, abandoned, and owner surrendered animals from the three locations. SVASC strives to improve the lives of people and pets in the community and offers programs such as low-cost spay/neuter, pet food assistance, and responsible pet re-homing services.
