Are there any pull through sites?
Many of our sites are very open, grassy and spacious, and while we don't have paved pull-through sites, a lot of our sites are easy to manuever in. Many of the campsites located on the ends of the loops offer the easiest access.

Are there other attractions nearby?
While the campground is in a rural area, there are a number of attractions nearby. Find all you need to know on these local tourism sites!

Are there quiet hours in the campground? Any limits on generator usage?
The campground's quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 8:00am, and generators should not be run during those hours.

Are there showers available?
There are two bathhouses in the main campground that offer hot showers.

Can I also put a tent up on the campsite with an RV?
We allow one RV/trailer (any axled camping unit) and one tent on any RV site with water and electric hookups, or two tents if no axled camping unit is on the site. Tent sites are restricted to tents only, (no axled camping units) and we allow up to two tents on these sites.

Can I bring my ATV, go-cart or golf cart with me?
The Park allows electric golf carts but prohibits all gas-powered off-road vehicles and go-carts. Proof of insurance for your golf cart must be provided at the Visitor Center, and only licensed drivers 16 and older may operate golf carts in the park. Please drive only on established campground roads.

Can I change my camping reservation to another date?
Standing reservations may not be changed to another, future date. This would constitute a cancellation and established charges would apply. The original reservation must be cancelled and a reservation made for the new dates.

Can I move the picnic table or fire ring on a campsite?
You may move the picnic table on your site as needed, but please be sure it is back within your site's boundaries before you depart. Please do not remove picnic tables from other campsites without checking with Park staff; if someone else has reserved that site, you will be asked to return their table. If you need to move your fire ring, please be sure to place it on a spot that has been previously used for fires, rather than on healthy grass.

Can I store my camper at the campground?
We offer storage on reserved campsites for $10.00 per night, and the two week maximum stay applies. We do not offer long term or off-season camper storage.

Do the campsites have both a 50amp and 30amp hookup or are they only one or the other?
We have a variety of electric hookups in our campground. We have 96 sites with 30amp electric hookups, 12 sites with 50amp electric hookups, and 36 sites with both 30amp and 50amp electric hookups.

How far is the closest store? The closest gas station?
There are a few country stores with gas stations within five miles of the park. The nearest town with restaurants, shops and a grocery store is Bridgewater, which is within ten miles of the park.

How long can I camp for? Do you offer monthly or seasonal campsites?
As a County-owned Park, there is a two week/14 consecutive night limit for all RV site reservations, including those utilizing our camper storage program. For tent sites, there is a five consecutive night limit for all reservations. All households are limited to 21 nights total in a 30-day period, including reservations utilizing the camper storage program.

How many vehicles can be parked at the campsite?
You may have two vehicles per campsite, in addition to your camping unit on RV sites. Please ensure all vehicles are parked within your campsite's boundaries and are not blocking the campground roads. Additional vehicles, including day guests, must park in overflow parking at the visitor center.

Is alcohol allowed in the park? In the campground?
No person shall consume or possess an open or previously opened container containing any alcoholic beverage, or be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage in public while at any public parks and recreation facility. No person shall consume, possess or be under the influence of any controlled substance, as defined by the Code of Virginia, while in public parks and recreation facilities.

Is firewood available at the campground? Can I bring my own?
Firewood is offered for sale at the campground, in the Visitor Center during open hours and from the Camp Hosts. We currently allow outside firewood from within the state of Virginia, but it must all be burned or removed and not left behind when your stay is over, to help prevent the spread of invasive pests. Is use of the pool included in my camping fees?
The Park's pool is managed separately from the campground, so there is a separate charge for using the pool. Please see our pool page for fees and hours.

What time is check-in? and check-out? What are the general procedures?
Campsite check-in time is 2:00pm, and check-out time is 12:00pm (noon). Any requests for early check-ins or late check-outs must come to our office, and we may not be able to accommodate you, depending on site occupancies. You may check-in any time after 2:00pm; if you arrive after our visitor center closes and need assistance, please see the camp hosts on site F1.

Where are the utilities located for the campsites?
The pedestals containing the electric hook ups, marked with the site numbers, are located at the center of the back boundary of the campsites. On the A, B, C and J Loops, these pedestals are shared back-to-back between the sites. Water spigots are located in proximity to the pedestals, and are also shared. On the D Loop, each site has its own electric pedestal, and water spigots are shared between neighboring sites. On the E and F Loops, each site has its own electric pedestal and water spigot. On the tent sites, the post marked with the site number is the center of the back boundary of the campsite.
